Current statistic is that 10% Americans own smartphone but does not own broadband at home. So they use smartphone for everything for example internet, banking, health, getting news, navigating job, applying job, social networking, phone and texting. Not only 10% people, but low income individual too make complete use of it. 15% of individual have smartphones but they have limited options to go online in their smartphone. Nearly two-thirds of american are now smartphone owners, and they can remotely accesse online world.

Internet was boom. But when internet came on the phone. Everything exploded. People in remote villages who had not access to internet, started to buy smartphone. It gave them the only means to communication. In the third world countries smartphone hit the market. Lots of apps became famous like whatsapp in asian countries. New apps come to existence which really helped every corner of the world. Well in developed country, people had less realization, but in third world country smartphone went into the hand of every individual. 10 Years back hardly people understood what a search engine is. Now if we ask anything to anyone, they all say google it. Google is like a dictionary, search anything and we get range of answers. This is all because internet has come into phone. The internet has taken many forms in smart phone. The application which was accessed on computer using simple internet has now taken form of range of different application on smartphone. The browser itself is an app now. The social networking messenger(yahoo) also is now apps on smartphone. A new range of hybrid apps has been introduced in market. Which is nothing but use of same language html, css and javascript to built an app. So before we use to design website for internet, now we design same website for mobile devices for mobile browsers or develop hybrid apps for mobile.

Growth of mobile devices is growth of web developer now. Mobile device has taken form of tablets, watch, smartphone, laptop, glass. Web development for mobile devices is now of high demand and going to hit the peak by 2018. People are accessing library, medical records, banks, educational material, entertainment, employment, social all in one device. Most companies have already created their website for mobile devices. 40% of conversion are nearly done. In coming few years most of the conversion will be done.

Web Development is evolving, and will continue to do so as it is requirements for the industry. The new things have been introduced like geolocation, animation, networking, storage, audio, video, graphics, navigation and forms to most web languages. So increase in demand of various apps, the new web languages are coming up. The languages like javascript have given birth to tones of its library, both for mobile and web. Once was said, that when scientist discovered from sand they can make silicon chips now same with javascript. Sand took over electronics industry, HTML5/Javascript is taking over all the web. Mobile is used by young generation, smart people, boredom people, elderly. The use of mobile some time distractive for young generation. If they get addicted to chat or games, they will loose concentration in career, education and social with parents. This is cons for young generation, but its pros for smart people. Their are smart people who effectively use smartphones. Whether mobile devices prove to be influencing people positively or negatively, its usage statistic is growing exponentially. This demands web developer to think mobile first before building any website. The skills for mobile web developer are in great demand to update existing website for mobiles. When something has come up in the market there is no way going backward in technology. Things have changed and so the people's minds.
